EYP2017This year's International Youth Presbytery was hosted by St Columba's Church in Budapest from Friday 17th to Sunday 19th February 2016.  The Presbytery’s ‘Youth Presbytery’ started years ago as one way to minister to youth while encouraging them to be more involved in the leadership of the church.


The International Presbytery last met from 10th to 12th March in Rotterdam (for more details go to PRESBYTERY).

Its next be meetings will be on 6th to 8th March 2017 in Malta, hosted by the St Andrew's Church, Valletta and 
on 9th to 11th March 2018 in Lisbon hosted by St. Andrew's Church, Lisbon.

Scots Kirk LausanneThe International Presbytery met in Lausanne, Switzerland from 7 – 9 October. The city is the home of many international organisations, the best known being the International Olympic Committee.  The congregation of the Scots Kirk hosted the meeting very well. They looked after the presbyters with plenty of food, coffee, tea and other refreshments. A big “thank you” to all the volunteers of the Scots Kirk Lausanne for their hospitality...

At its recent meeting in Rome, last year’s Moderator, Alec, passed on the Moderatorial Bible and responsibilities to his wife Rhoda, elected as this year’s Moderator! They’re both elders in the Brussels congregation, and both have served in the Presbytery of Europe for many years.... 

The Presbytery of Europe, meeting in Brussels on 9-11 October 2015, approved the draft International Presbytery
Act 2016, which will now go to next year’s General Assembly as the framework which will shape
the future of the Church of Scotland’s international congregations. Formally designated the
Presbytery of International Charges, it will be known simply as the International Presbytery.
